The Hendersons do better than ‘All Wight’!

The team about to set off on Day Two

When Audrey Henderson lost her mother Mrs Glen Williams in February 2021, she challenged her family to come up with a way to raise money to support Lymington Hospital.

Auds explained …
“Mum received the most exceptional and sensitive care at Lymington Hospital before she sadly passed away in February of last year.
We decided to undertake a family team cycle ride around the Isle of Wight. I delegated the leg work to my husband Jeff, his brother-in-law Pete and his lovely partner Debs for the first day. They were joined by my son James on day two and in total the family cycled 70 miles gliding up the Island’s hills in style.
They raised almost £1,200 to support Lymington Hospital Friends, thanks to wonderful donations from friends and family, smashing the original £150 target on Just Giving.
The team were chuffed to put on my team shirts at the finish for a ‘heroes’ photo  ..  they certainly did All Wight!!

Arthur England (Joint Chair of Trustees) responded …

“Well done Hendersons, what a fantastic achievement, it’s a very hilly ride around the island and your family certainly did better than ‘All Wight’!

On behalf of the patients and staff at Lymington, a big thank you for your wonderful fundraising, all donations go towards extra facilities to improve patient care.
And a big ‘thank you’ for all signing up to become Lymington Hospital Friends.
