This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference, working with Lymington Hospital Friends (LHF) charity to support our local hospital.

The Marketing and Administrative Coordinator role will help to coordinate:

  • marketing and communications campaigns to support Lymington Hospital
  • administration for LHF charity donations and projects

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our friendly team. This is a flexible hourly paid role (up to 8 hours per week initially), based in our hospital office or at home.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organised and enjoy working as part of a team.

You will have good written communication skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Office and actively use social media. Experience in Mailchimp and WordPress or similar applications will be beneficial.

About the Role

You will play a key role, working with trustees and our operations manager, to develop communications, marketing and fundraising campaigns to raise awareness of the charity’s work, inspire support and encourage donations from the local community.

You will help us to deliver impactful marketing and communications in print and online, this will include designing posters, updating our website and publishing our email newsletter, training will be given.

You will also help us with administrative tasks to coordinate charity donations, projects and other business processes.

Key Responsibilities

Under guidance from the trustees and operations manager, you will

  • Assist in the planning, creation, and delivery of marketing and fundraising campaigns
  • Create engaging content for posters, newsletters, website and social media
  • Prepare the LHF newsletter and email marketing using Mailchimp
  • Update and maintain the LHF website using WordPress
  • Monitor charity donations and project forms

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Good written communication, with a strong attention to detail and proofreading
  • Experience in creating content for social media and websites
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • A collaborative and proactive team player, with a can-do attitude

Desirable

  • Previous experience in the charity or non-profit sector
  • Work in a communications, marketing, or digital environment
  • Mailchimp and WordPress skills, training will be given
