Urgent Treatment Centre

The Lymington Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre operates two services:

  • Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)
  • Appointments+

The UTC looks after after patients with a minor injury or a minor illness, which is not critical or life threatening:

  • sprains
  • broken bones
  • bites or stings
  • assessing and treating wounds.

The team of nurses, healthcare assistants and paramedics are supported by a General Practitioner in the unit. Patients have access to diagnostic facilities such as x-ray.

How do I access the service?

Access the Urgent Treatment Centre service at Lymington Hospital:

  • open 8am to 9pm
  • 365 days per year

Appointments +

The Lymington Out of Hours appointments and pre-booked evening and weekend appointments is  known as ‘Appointments +.

  • Appointments + is for local New Forest patients, registered in the West Hampshire area
  • Extended hours Primary Care
  • Book through your GP Surgery or NHS 111 Service
  • Supported by GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, mental health practitioners and paramedics.
  • Includes services such as wound dressings and chronic illness checks.
