Urgent Treatment Centre
The Lymington Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre operates two services:
- Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)
- Appointments+
The UTC looks after after patients with a minor injury or a minor illness, which is not critical or life threatening:
- sprains
- broken bones
- bites or stings
- assessing and treating wounds.
The team of nurses, healthcare assistants and paramedics are supported by a General Practitioner in the unit. Patients have access to diagnostic facilities such as x-ray.
How do I access the service?
Access the Urgent Treatment Centre service at Lymington Hospital:
- open 8am to 9pm
- 365 days per year

Appointments +
The Lymington Out of Hours appointments and pre-booked evening and weekend appointments is known as ‘Appointments +.
- Appointments + is for local New Forest patients, registered in the West Hampshire area
- Extended hours Primary Care
- Book through your GP Surgery or NHS 111 Service
- Supported by GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, mental health practitioners and paramedics.
- Includes services such as wound dressings and chronic illness checks.
